On 19th October, John Denton – ICC’s Secretary General – and Ercole de Vito – Head of Business Development and External Relations at ICC Italia – have met Amir Abdulla – WFP’s Deputy Executive Director – in order to define a possible strategic collaboration between the two Organizations.
In order to establish an effective collaboration, ICC Italy is offering its best support by making the most of its competencies and by using its logistic position. Rome is the headquarters of the three principal UN Organizations dedicated to food and agriculture: Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP), and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
ICC intends to support the three United Nations Rome-based Agencies (RBAs) by creating a structured way to engage with its members and the private sector more broadly.
