Il World Intellectual Property Day celebra il ruolo delle donne nell’innovazione e nella creatività.
Intervista a Ingrid Baele, Presidente della Commission on IP di ICC
Durante il World Intellectual Property Day, svoltosi ieri 26 aprile a Ginevra, si è celebrato il ruolo delle donne nell’innovazione e nella creatività e il loro potere a guidare e ottenere cambiamenti nel mondo tecnologico e scientifico.
Ingrid Baele, Presidente della Commissione Proprietà intellettuale di ICC e Vice – Presidente della Philips Intellectual Property and Standard (IP&S) in un intervista ha ribadito quanto l’IP contribuisca ad investire nell’innovazione, a creare e realizzare grandi idee per uno sviluppo sostenibile e a dare opportunità per una crescita economica del Paese.
La Baele ha inoltre dischiarato che il contributo femminile in tale settore è aumentato negli ultimi anni e alla domanda su cosa ne pensava del tema scelta da WIPO sul tema “Powering change: Women in innovation and creativity”? la Baele ha detto «Women are sometimes considered to be too modest about their capabilities and what they can achieve but I think there is in fact no difference in creativity between men and women in general. What is important to me is that men and women are addressed together with the same messages and not treated or addressed differently. In the end, we are all part of the same society, and have to work together and learn from each other ».
